This set includes the above five records
which are used to introduce square dancing in school or
recreational
programs. SD 500 includes Rockin' (no-partner
dance) and two mixers--JT Mixer and HI Neighbor. These easy
dances help break the ice with a new class and gently lead
students into dancing with partners.
Records SD 501 and 502 are practice records
for the Pre Diamond Introductory Program. Teachers use Wagon
Wheel 6001 teaching the calls on Bands 1, 2, and 3; they
skip band 4 and teach bands 5 and 6. They use Grand Old
Flag (SD 501) to practice right and left hand stars.
All dances on SD 501 require couples and
can be danced in squares or in circles with any number of
couples. My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean and Kingston Flyer
(danced to the music side of Gordo's Quadrille) are popular
novelty dances. Teachers may also use the music side of
Gordo's Quadrille for rhythm while practicing calls.
All these records are available as singles,
but buying them as a set saves money.

Records SD 503 includes three classic circle
mixers--Oh Johnny, Patty Cake Polka and Bingo. All three
are helpful in teaching students to work politely with partners
and to dance in rhythm with the music. SD 504 and SD 505
are danced in squares and are limited to calls 1-16 in the
DIAMOND PROGRAM. SD 009 - Grand Square Six Quadrille and
SD 011 -Diamond Hoedown, are both enjoyable dances using
these calls and the music side of the record is useful in
furnishing music for call practice. These records are available
as singles, but buying them as a set saves money.

This is a unique set of records produced
for the Diamond Square Dance Program . Several of Square
Dancing's most popular and talented callers have recorded
a second version of one of their popular square dance records
limiting the calls used to basics 1-20. The dances are beautifully

choreographed to give the dancer practice in the Diamond
Program. The records in this series are very special. Each
is recorded by an internationally famous caller, most using
music from one of their hit records. They have re-recorded
their dance limiting the calls to the first twenty calls-the
DIAMOND PROGRAM. Each record has been carefully engineered
to assure that the caller's voice is sharp, clear, and loud
enough to be easily understood.
